MEET OUR MODERATOR.

Moderator Kidd is a graduate of the Chicago Baptist Institute and the Gospel Ministry Outreach Theological Institute. He is a certified instructor under the auspices of the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc., and teaches in leadership schools throughout the state of Illinois.

Moderator Kidd is the devoted husband of Lady Cassandra Kidd and the father of two daughters, Lady LaSondra (Michael) Campbell and LaRielle Kidd, and the proud grandfather of Michael A. Campbell, Jr.

Moderator Kidd is an active member of the Baptist General State Convention of Illinois, where he serves as:

⋅ 3rd Vice President of the Congress of Christian Education
⋅ Assistant Director of Education for the Moderators Division of the National Baptist Convention
USA, Inc.

Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Moderator Kidd matriculated through the Chicago Public School System. He now serves as pastor of the historic True Light Baptist Church, the very church in which he was born and raised. In addition to his pastoral calling, Moderator Kidd is an accomplished musician and songwriter, contributing to the work of many gospel recording artists. From 1989 to 2006, he also served as a full-time chaplain with the Salvation Army, where he managed the Evangeline Booth Lodge Family Life Center.
